Abordagens para aumentar a adesão ao tratamento em pacientes com hipertensão arterial de difícil controle / Strategies to improve adherence to treatment in patients with resistant

RESUMO

Inúmeras condições explicam a ocorrência de hipertensão de difícil controle. Em muitos pacientes, no entanto, o problema básico é a falta de adesão ao tratamento. Há poucas investigações neste contexto, apesar de a literatura ser pródiga em abordar o problema de adesão em geral. Poucas técnicas têm se mostrado efetivas para aumentar a adesão ao tratamento. Em hipertensão arterial, especificamente, demonstramos recentemente que técnicas de atenção farmacêutica e seguimento farmacoterápico podem aumentar o grau decontrole de hipertensão arterial, podendo se constituir em nova e efetiva abordagem para se somar a outras que visam ao controle da hipertensão resistente.

ABSTRACT

There are many underlining reasons for resistant hypertension. In many patients, however, the main reason is lack of adherence to treatment. There are few investigations about lack of adherence in patients with resistant hypertension, but mostly on adherence at all. Few strategies have shown efficacy to improve adherence. We have shown recently that pharmaceutical care improves the control of blood pressure. It maybe used together with other approaches to improvethe control of blood pressure in patients with resistant hypertension.
