Análise bibliométrica de instrumentos funcionais para avaliação do membro superior em pesquisas / Bibliometric analysis of functional instruments for the upper extremity evaluation on researches

RESUMO

Objetivo: analisar a produção científica sobre instrumentos de avaliação funcional do membrosuperior em adultos e idosos com deficiências físicas utilizando a abordagem bibliométrica. Asunidades de análise foram artigos publicados nas bases PubMed, Web of Science e LILACS,período de 2005-2009. Método: identificar vinte e um instrumentos de avaliação (n=21), dosquais apenas dez (n=10) apresentam estudos conduzidos no Brasil. Considerações finaisverificou-se um predomínio de investigações em pacientes com Acidente Vascular Encefálico eo tipo de delineamento de pesquisa mais freqüente foi o estudo randomizado; identifica-se anecessidade de estudos com enfoque na validação dos instrumentos identificados para oincremento da atividade clínica e de pesquisa, no que se refere à avaliação funcional do membro superior

ABSTRACT

Objective: aimed to analyze the scientific production about functional evaluation instrumentsfor the upper limb adults and elderly people with physical disfunction using the bibliometricsapproach. Method: analyze unit were articles published in the data bases PubMed, Web ofScience and LILACS, in the period from 2005 to 2009. Results: the investigation identifiedtwenty one instruments of evaluation (n=21), of which only ten (n=10) have conducted studiesin Brazil. Was verified that most of all investigations were developed with the population withStroke and the kind of research more often was the randomized studies. Conclusion: wasidentified the need of studies with the focus on validation of the instruments identified toimprove the activities of clinicians and researchers, related with the functional evaluation ofupper limb.
