Las competencias investigativas en la construcción del talento humano dentro de las Ciencias Médicas / The investigative competitions in the construction of human talent within Medical Sciences

RESUMEN

Se realizó un estudio descriptivo transversal para determinar el papel de las competencias investigativas en la construcción del talento dentro de las ciencias médicas. Se encuestaron 45 profesionales egresados de la Universidad de Ciencias Médicas, con integralidad y alto rendimiento académico, pertenecientes al Movimiento Vanguardista Mario Muñoz Monroy. Se evaluó la aplicación de competencias investigativas según los resultados científicos de estos profesionales. Todos consideraron que la competencia indagativa es primordial en la gestión del conocimiento, pues permite la autopreparación y el éxito profesional, pero solo el 62.2 por ciento tuvo experiencia en dirigir proyectos de investigación. La competencia argumentativa fue satisfactoria, por el total de tesis discutidas y los trabajos científicos presentados en eventos nacionales e internacionales, aunque el 26.7 por ciento nunca había publicado sus resultados en revistas biomédicas. La competencia innovativa estuvo en el 37.8 por ciento de los encuestados, capaces de aportar soluciones teóricas y prácticas después de plantear un problema de investigación, y el otro 62.3 por ciento manifestó que esta habilidad se alcanza con la elaboración de tesis de alto nivel científico para maestrías y doctorados. Se concluyó que las competencias investigativas son imprescindibles para evaluar el desempeño científico de los profesionales con mayor capacidad, compromiso y acción dentro de las ciencias médicas.

ABSTRACT

A cross-sectional descriptive study was carried out to determine the perform of investigative competitions in the construction of the talent within medical sciences.A survey to 45 graduated professionals of Medical Sciences University was carried out, with comprehensiveness and academic high performance belonging to the avant-garde movement Mario Muñoz Monroy.The application of investigative competitions was evaluated according to the scientific results of these professionals. All of them considered that the investigative competition is fundamental in the knowledge management,so that allows a self-preparation and the professional success,but only 62.2 percent had experience in directing investigation projects.The argumentative competition was satisfactory, by the total of discussed thesis and the scientific works presented in national and international events, although 26,7 percent never had published their results in biomedical magazines. The innovative competition was in a 37,8 percent of those who participated in the survey,they were able to contribute theoretical and practical solutions after explaining an investigation problem, and the other 62,3 percent showed that this ability is reached with the thesis elaboration of high scientific level for master's degree and doctorates. It was concluded that investigative competitions are essential to evaluate the scientific performance of professionals with greater capacity, commitment and action within medical sciences.
