ABSTRACT
During a two-years-period, fron january 1982 to December 1983, nodules of berne were counted in the left side of 720 Canchim bovines, aging from 24 to 36 months old. The counts were performed every 14 days in lots of 15 animals, males and females, with tegumentar body surface divided into ten regions head, dewlap, neck, shoulder, foreleg, ribs, belly, rump, perineal and hindleg. Of the body regions studied, only the belly and perineal regions did not show (P > 0.05) signicant relationship of parasite infestation and season of the year.
