Amputação: as indagações do sujeito / Amputation: the questions of the subject

RESUMO

Apresentação de caso de um adolescente de 14 anos, que teve o antebraço direito amputado, em decorrência de choque elétrico. O primeiro aspecto a ser destacado é o luto proveniente da mutilação que acometeu o adolescente, após a amputação do membro. Associado a isto, existe a questão da autoimagem de alguém que, como esse adolescente, sofreu uma mutilação. As reflexões têm como respaldo o referencial psicanalítico, mais especificamente, o artigo Luto e Melancolia, de Freud, texto este que nos faz pensar aspectos característicos ao caso atendido. A direção do trabalho é o relato do caso e poder chegar às contribuições da Psicanálise para a elaboração da perda.

ABSTRACT

Case report of an adolescent of fourteen-years old, who had the right forearm amputated due to an electric shock. The first aspect to be detached is the mourning originating from the mutilation that he suffered, after the surgical remove of part of his arm. Associated to this, there is the issue of self-image of someone who, as this teenager, suffered a mutilation. My reflections have a Psychoanalytic Referential as basis, more specifically, Freud’s article Mourning and Melancholia. This text makes us think about aspects of the teenager’s case. The paper’s direction is the narration of the case and has the right to get to the contributions of Psychoanalysis to the loss elaboration.
