O espaço urbano: implicações para a subjetividade contemporânea / Urban space: implications for contemporary subjectivity

RESUMO

A configuração atual das sociedades oferece às metrópoles um lugar de destaque na invenção de novos modos de vida, nos quais estão incluídas formas emergentes de configuração das subjetividades. De forma geral, a cidade opera em seus moradores uma perda de referências tradicionais, contribuindo assim para a emergência de um humano orientado quase exclusivamente pelos valores dominantes na atualidade, que têm no capital seu elemento distintivo. Se, por um lado, essa é a dinâmica dominante, por outro, a desterritorialização produzida na subjetividade coletiva tem a potencialidade de fazer emergirem novas configurações do humano, distanciadas dos valores instituídos ancorados na posse do dinheiro. Assim, o ambiente urbano oferece a possibilidade de inserção nos modos de subjetivação vinculados à ordem social e a construção de uma existência singularizada, desviante dos padrões vigentes e portadora de mutações irreversíveis que se difundem pela sociedade.

ABSTRACT

The current configuration of the societies offers to the metropolitan areas a prominent place in the invention of new ways of life, in which are included emerging forms of configuration of subjectivities. In general, the city operates in its residents a loss of traditional references, thus contributing with the emergence of a human being guided almost exclusively by the dominant values of the present time, which have the capital as their distinctive element. If, on the one hand, this is the dominant dynamics, on the other hand, the deterritorialization from the collective subjectivity has the potential to make emerge new configurations of human things, apart from established values anchored in the possession of money. Thus, the urban environment offers the possibility of insertion in the subjectivity modes linked to the social order and the construction of a singularized existence that deviates from the current standards and carries irreversible mutations that are spread through society.
