Doença de Pompe: manejo fisioterapêutico / Pompe disease: physical therapy management

RESUMO

Objetivo: revisar e descrever os atuais conceitos da Doença de Pompe, bem como, a fisiopatologia, métodosdiagnósticos, aspectos da função cardíaca, pulmonar, musculoesquelética e neurológica, novas terapêuticas e manejofisioterapêutico. Método: realizadarevisão da literatura científica com seleção das publicações sobre a Doença dePompe nos últimos 10 anos, em português e inglês. Considerações Finais ao final da revisão percebeu-se quea história natural da Doença de Pompe vem sofrendo grandes mudanças graças o advento de terapias como a dereposição de enzimas, e que essa reposição, tem seu efeito acelerado com o manejo fisioterapêutico adequado

ABSTRACT

Objective:To review and describe the current concepts of Pompe disease, as well as its pathophysiology, diagnosticmethods, aspects of cardiac, pulmonary, musculoskeletal and neurologicalfunction, new therapies and physicaltherapy management. Method:A review of scientific literature was condutedwith selection of the publications aboutPompe disease in the last 10 years, in Portuguese and English. Conclusion: At the end of the review, it was noticedthat the natural history of Pompe disease has undergone great changes thanks to the advent of therapies, such asenzymesreplacement, and this replacement has its effect accelerated with the proper physical therapy management
