ABSTRACT

The ability to conceive after discontinuing contraceptive pratice is an important concern for women who have not complete their families. This paper focuses on 53 women who had their IUDs removed for planned pregnancy. The data from this study add further evidence that fertility subsequent to IUD removal is not impaired. All women conceived during the first ten months after IUD removal. Patients age of IUD removal, type of IUD (medicated vs non-medicated) and duration of use did not influence conception rates
