ABSTRACT
A study of the correlationship between the height of the person and the length of the sternum bone were made on 70 Thai male cadavers of aged range from 18 to 60 years old, autopsied during March to November 1995. Three stature-estimation formulae calculated for sternum bone (except xiphoid process), manubrium and body. It was found that the length of the sternum bone give the best result, but only 30.8% accurate. These regression-equation formulae could prove useful in identifying cases in the field of forensic medicine.
