Insane murderer.

ABSTRACT

A study was made at Suansaranrom Hospital on murderers for the period from 1 January 1971 to 31 December 1980. The incidence of the murderers being insane among convicted was 18.52%. Most of them were male, single, age 15-25 years, and diagnosed as schizophrenic. Two thirds of the cases came from the police and the motives were predominantly paranoia (delusion and hallucination). Only 20% was because of quarrel and no accidental cases were reported.
