ABSTRACT
Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) is a commonly seen digestive system disease involving multiple factors. In recent years, with the application and development of 16S rRNA sequencing technology and metagenomics research, changes of GERD esophageal flora had been extensively studied, and showed that the esophageal flora was affected by factors such as age, diet, smoking, drugs, oral cavity, and stomach microbiota. This article reviewed the advances in research on characteristics of normal esophageal flora and esophageal flora of GERD patients, the influencing factors and potential intervention measures.
