ABSTRACT
<p><b>OBJECTIVE</b>To investigate the basic incidence of subjective tinnitus in Xingui Community, Daliang, Shunde District, Guangdong Province, conduct preliminary analysis on its clinical feature, provide scientific evidence for subjective tinnitus prevention and cure in community.</p><p><b>METHODS</b>Performed census in the entire population, totally 17253 people in Xingui Community, then gave tinnitus surveys for the people who have subjective tinnitus, and finally conducted analysis and evaluation.</p><p><b>RESULTS</b>the morbidity of tinnitus in the investigated people is 28.7%. With the increases of age, the morbidity goes up gradually, but it is not statistically significant(P>0.05) among different age group, and between different sex. There is an obvious correlation between tinnitus and hearing loss; Matching tone of tinnitus is related to the nature of hearing loss. The morbidity of decompensation tinnitus is 3.2%, it is not statistically significant among different age group(P>0.05).</p><p><b>CONCLUSION</b>subjective tinnitus is common in aged people, so it is very important to strengthen the work of subjective tinnitus prevention and cure in Community.</p>
