ABSTRACT

Epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) is necessary in normal epithelial cell growth. Ab-errant EGFR expression is linked with increased cell proliferation and decreased apoptosis. Mutations and over-expression of EGFR are common features of many cancers.
