ABSTRACT
Objective To investigate the change of insulin-like growth factor Ⅱ(IGF-Ⅱ) and its relation with infection in severely burned patients.Methods RIA method was used to determine the serum IGF-Ⅱ level in patients with severe burn.Results Compared with control group, the level of IGF-Ⅱ was increased significantly at 5 postburn days , and persistent 35 days (P0 05).Conclusion IGF-Ⅱ is involved in the pathogenesis of burn , and closely correlated with the infection after burn.
