Utilization of Antitumor Drugs in a Hospital During the Period 2003～2007 / 中国药房

ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVE:To investigate the utilization of antitumor drugs in a hospital. METHODS: By a retrospective study, the consumption sum and DDDs etc of antitumor drugs in a hospital during the period 2003～2007 were analyzed statistically. RESULTS: The proportion of the consumption sum of antitumor drugs in the total increased year on year, but the DDDs of antitumor drugs decreased in 2007, leading the list in terms of consumption sum and DDDs over the 5 years were antitumor assistant drugs, of which, the antitumor herbal medicine assumed a tendency of latecomer surpassing the early starters. CONCLUSION: There is great potential to develop antitumor assistant drugs and antitumor herbal medicine of good quality and low prices.
