Evaluation of Diagnostic Value of CT in Osteoarticular Tuberculosis / 实用放射学杂志

ABSTRACT

Objective To evaluate CT diagnostic value of osteoarticular tuberculosis. Methods The clinic informations,X-ray findings and CT features in 112 cases of osteoarticular tuberculosis were retrospectively analyzed. Results The lesions localized at spine in 90,hip joint in 7,sacroiliac articulation in 6,knee joint in 5,wrist joint in 3 cases and ankle joint in 1.X-ray findings includedwidening,narrowing or disappearance of joint space,swelling of soft tissue,osteoporosis,bone destruction with sclerosis of edge,sequestrum,forming of cold Abscess and calcification in Abscess.CT manifestationssynovial articular tuberculosis manifested thickening articular capsule,hydrarthrosis and swelling of soft tissue ;and bony articular tuberculosis basically manifested as the same as X-ray finding.Conclusion CT can demonstrate the features of osteoarticular tuberculosis,like sequestrum and cold Abscess, as well as the degree and extent of bony destruction,which play an important role in diagnosis of osteoarticular tuberculosis,especially in the early stage .
