Comparison of effects between fusiform incision flap translocation method and horizontal folds micro-incision subcutaneous trimming method for tragomachalia / 第三军医大学学报

ABSTRACT
Objective To compare the clinical effects, complications, and aesthetic effect between fusiform incision flap translocation method and horizontal folds micro-incision subcutaneous trimming method for tragomachalia. Methods A total of 40 patients were treated by fusiform incision flap translocation method, but 102 patients by horizontal folds micro-incision subcutaneous trimming method. The follow-up for 6 months was carried out after operation. Results The clinical effective rates by the two methods was 100%. The complication rates were 17.5% and 15.7%, respectively. There was no significant statistical difference between the two methods. However, the aesthetic effect of the horizontal folds micro-incision subcutaneous trimming method was better than that of fusiform incision flap translocation method. Conclusion Horizontal folds micro-incision subcutaneous trimming method is good for tragomachalia with the advantages of satisfactory clinical effect and good aesthetic appearance.
