Investigation on effects of medicine for treatment of zona

ABSTRACT

The remedy consisting of these medicinal herbs Lactusa indica, Pouzolzia zeylanica, Phyllanthus urinaria with the equivalent amounts were used to treat zona. Remedy concentrated decoction21 and ethanol extract 61 given orally have exhibited acute anti-inflammatory effect with doses6g, 10g, and 20g/kg body weight by 27.64-56.77%. The effect of ethanol extract is stronger than decoction. With the dose 10-20g/kg given orally, the effect is nearly equivalent to the dose 15 mg indomethacine. The remedy was not toxic to the skin
