ABSTRACT

Objective To investigate whether the patients of stroke in basal ganglia have the selective deficit of recognition of disgust expression and to test the hypothesis that basal ganglia is involved in emotion processing, especially in disgust processing. Methods We developed six typical facial emotions (happiness, surprise, fear, sadness, disgust and anger) and a neutral facial emotion.
