Objective To investigate the regulation effect of interleukin-1? (IL-1?) on the expression of VEGF in A549 cells. Methods A549 cells were incubated with IL-1? in the presence or absence of Celecoxib. After incubation, cells were harvested to detect VEGF mRNA by reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR), and the supernatant was collected to determine the concentration of VEGF protein by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA).
