ABSTRACT
Objective:
To establish a method for the determination of cinnabar and realgar in Xiao' er Zhibao pills.Methods:
Mercury in cinnabar and arsenic in realgar in Xiao'er Zhibao pills were determined respectively by atomic absorption spectrometry (AAS) and inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometry(ICP-AES).Results:
A good linear correlation of mercury and arsenic was observed within the range of 5-100 μg·ml-1(r=0. 999 9) and 2-50 μg·ml-1(r=0. 999 2), and the average recovery was 99. 3% with RSD of 3. 0% (n=6) and 104. 5% with RSD of 2. 1% (n=6) by AAS. A good linear correlation of mercury and arsenic was observed within the range of 0.1-20.0 μg·ml-1(r=0.999 97) and 0.1-20.0 μg·ml-1(r=0.999 99),respectively, and the average recovery was 96. 6% with RSD of 1. 4%(n=6) and 104. 1% with RSD of 1. 1% (n=6) by ICP-AES,respectively.Conclusion:
The method is accurate and specific, and can be used for the quality control of Xiao'er Zhibao pills.
