ABSTRACT

Objective:

To study various preparation methods for Tongmai Oral Liquid.

Methods:

Tongmai Oral Liquid with ultrafiltration method, water alcohol method, talcum powder method, and method were prepared respectively; using impurity clearing efficency, clarity, total saponin content as parameters for quality control.

Results:

Tongmai Oral Liquid prepared by water alcohol method (alcohol concentration being 75%) was better than that by other methods in claerity, and stability and has highest total saponin.

Conclusions:

Quality of Tongmai Oral Liquid prepared by water alcohol method was available.
