ABSTRACT
Objective To explore the effect of miniature titanium plate internal fixation in the treatment of maxillofacial fractures. Methods From September 2014 to September 2017,a total of 110 patients with maxillofacial fractures in the People's Hospital of Linfen were enrolled in this study.A retrospective analysis was taken ,60 patients with rigid internal fixation with titanic microsplint were selected as observation group ,50 patients with bone fixed wire ligation were selected as control group. The efficacy, recovery and complications of the two groups were compared and analyzed. Results The total effective rate of the observation group was 96.67%,which was significantly higher than 80.00%of the control group(χ2=14.13,P=0.000).The mouth opening degree of the observation group was higher than that of the control group [(39.85 ±2.70)mm vs.(37.52 ±2.54)mm,t=4.63,P=0.000].The function of the temporomandibular joint normal rate of the observation group was 98.33%, which was significantly higher than 82.00%of the control group(χ2=14.15,P=0.000).The good rate of fracture stability of the observation group was 91.62%,which was higher than 80.00%of the control group(χ2=5.95,P=0.014).The condyle moving distance for 3 months and 1 year in the observation group were significantly larger than those in the control group (t=31.25, 6.73,all P =0.000).The incidence rate of adverse reactions of the observation group was 3.33%, which was significantly lower than 16.00%of the control group(χ2=9.78,P=0.001).Conclusion Miniature titanium plate internal fixation for maxillofacial fracture has advantages of good stability and accurate alignment .It can promote fracture healing, resume normal anatomical structure and occlusion ability ,and has less complications.
