Theoretical and Clinical Study on Treatment of Adolescent Polycystic Ovary Syndrome by YiKang Decoction / 浙江中医药大学学报

ABSTRACT
[Objective]To study the theoretical basis and clinical efficacy of YiKang decoction in the treatment of pubertal polycystic ovary syndrome. [Methods]According to the diagnostic criteria and clinical characteristics of pubertal polycystic ovary syndrome, the relationship between this disease and liver depression, phlegm and blood stasis, is discussed in three aspects,"liver the thief of the five internal organs","as a result of blood accumulation, adolescent female encounters amenorrhoea","be the nest capsule due to phlegm and blood stasis". And take this as the basis, analyse component value and clinical application value of YiKang decoction and give example to cite. [Results] Pubertal polycystic ovary syndrome was closely related to the pathogenesis of fire derived from stagnation of liver-Qi and syndrome of intermingled phlegm and blood stasis. Clinical application of YiKang decoction has obvious curative effect. In a case, it was proved that the YiKang decoction could adjust the menstrual cycle, reduce acne and obesity, reduce serum luteinizing hormone,luteinizing hormone/follicle stimulating hormone ratio and total testosterone value. [Conclusion]According to the pathogenesis of fire derived from stagnation of liver-Qi and syndrome of intermingled phlegm and blood stasis, the application of YiKang decoction for treatment of pubertal polycystic ovary syndrome,which has clinical utility and obvious curative effect,provides effective treatment for early intervention of the disease.
