ABSTRACT
Objective To observe the effect of Zhenren-Yangzang decoction combined with moxibustion on the changes of gastrointestinal function and intestinal microflora of the patients with spleen kidney deficiency cold type diarrhea. Methods A total of 92 diarrhea patients were randomly divided into observation group and control group, with each group of 46 patients. The control group was given conventional western medicine treatment. Based on this, the observation group was given Zhenren-Yangzang decoction combined with moxibustion. Both groups were treated for 4 weeks. The bacteria in feces (Enterobacteriaceae, Enterococcus, Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium), enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) detection of serum gastrin and vasoactive peptide level, and the recurrence status were analyzed, and the clinical curative effect were evaluated. Results After treatment, the total effective rate was 93.5% (43/46) in the observation group and 76.1% (35/46) in the control group, which was significant difference between the 2 groups in total effective rate (Z=-3.217,P=0.009). After treatment, the serum gastrin level (37.55 ± 4.87 pg/mlvs. 35.08 ± 4.63 pg/ml,t=4.946) of the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group, and the vasoactive peptide (18.13 ± 2.84 pg/mlvs. 22.49 ± 3.39 pg/ml,t=4.037) level was significantly lower than that of control group (P<0.05). The enterobacteriaceae in the observation group was significantly lower than that of the control group (t=3.392,P<0.05), and the enterococcus, Lactobacilli, Bifidobacterium in the observation group were significantly higher than those of the control group (t=3.392, 3.946, 3.164,P<0.05). The recurrence rate of the observation group was 4.7% (2/43) at 1 months, and the recurrence rate was 11.6% (5/43) at 3 months. The recurrence rate of the control group was 20% (7/35) at 1 months, and the recurrence rate was 37.1% (13/35) at 3 months. There were significant differences in the recurrence rate between the 2 groups at 1 months and 3 months (χ2=5.871, 7.082,P=0.015, 0.007).Conclusions The application of Zhenren-Yangzang decoction combined with moxibustion can improve gastrointestinal function and intestinal micro ecological environment, and reduce the recurrence rate of the patients with spleen and kidney deficiency cold type diarrhea.
