ABSTRACT
The breast cancer has globally become the leading malignant cancer of female which seriously endangered women’s life and health. The pathogenesis and development mechanisms of breast cancer are still unclear, restricting its diagnosis and treatment. In recent years, it has been found that some long non-coding RNAs (LncRNAs), circular RNAs (circRNAs), pseudogenes possessing microRNA (miRNA) response element (MRE), and mRNAs can compete on binding to miRNA, which plays an important role in the regulation of breast cancer. This type of RNA is called competing endogenous RNA (ceRNA). This article will review the biological function of the development and occurrence mechanisms of different types of ceRNAs in breast cancer genesis.
