ABSTRACT
Protein tyrosine kinase 6 (PTK6) is a cytoplasmic non-receptor protein kinase. PTK6 was found in the study on the differentiation of small intestinal epithelial cells, and its main physiological function is to promote the differentiation of normal epithelial cells. However, recent studies have showed that PTK6 is expressed in many tumors, plays an important role in the occurrence and development of tumor, and it is associated with its related signaling molecules to affect the proliferation, migration, invasion and metastasis of tumor cells. As a new target of tumor therapy, PTK6 has attracted extensive attention of researchers. Therefore, this article summarizes the research progress in the effects of PTK6 and its related signaling molecules on the occurrence, development and prognosis of tumor.
