ABSTRACT
Objective:
To study the chemical constituents from the roots of Dolichos falcata. Methods:
The chemical constituents were isolated by column chromatography with silica gel and Sephadex LH-20. Their structures were identified on the basis of spectroscopic analysis. Results:
Three compounds were isolated from the roots of D. falcata and identified as 3β, 23-dihydroxy-2-oxoolean-12-en-28-dioic acid 3-O-β-D-glucopyranoside (1), 3β-hydroxyolean-12-en-23, 28-dioic acid 3-O-β-D-glucopyranoside (2), and 2β, 3β-dihydroxyolean-12-en-23, 28-dioic acid 3-O-β-D-glucopyranoside (3).Conclusion:
Compound 1 is a new triterpene glycoside named doliroside C and compound 2 is isolated from this plant for the first time.
