ABSTRACT
Idiopathic intracranial hypertension (IIH) is defined as elevation of cerebrospinal fluid pressure of unknown reason. Hie main symptoms of this disorder include headache and visual disturbances. This review highlights the role of venous outflow obstruction in the pathogenesis of IIH. The literatures on endovascular treatment of IIH were summarized. The unsolved problems and the future research directions were also discussed.
