Application of cataract surgery in the management of glaucoma / 中华实验眼科杂志

ABSTRACT

Cataract surgeries are mainly used in the management of glaucoma in two circumstancesfirst,lens extraction to improve visual acuity in patients with controlled glaucoma and coexisting cataract;second,lens extraction to control glaucoma and other related complications.This article introduces the application of eight cataract surgical techniques in the management of glaucoma,which is even more challenging.To have a successful outcome after cataract surgeries,it is crucial to have comprehensive evaluation of patients,carefully analyze the optimal timing and indications of surgeries,and improve surgical techniques.
