Research progress of decision support in breast reconstruction after mastectomy / 国际生物医学工程杂志

ABSTRACT

Breast cancer has become one of the most common cancers in women. After mastectomy, the patients often feel confused when making breast reconstruction decisions. Decision support is to use tools to help patients make decisions about treatment options. In this review paper, decision support methods of breast reconstruction after mastectomy were summarized, including the main content of breast reconstruction decision-making, the current status of patients' participation in breast reconstruction decision-making, the form of decision-making assistance in breast reconstruction, and the measurement tools of decision-making assistance effect, etc.. This paper is expected to provide reference to construct a set of scientific breast reconstruction decision-making programs that suitable for breast cancer patients in China.
