Objective To investigate the multiple interventions for children with intractable epilepsy treated with ketogenic diet. Methods 22 children with intractable epilepsy were divided into the intervention group (n=10) and control group (n=12). The cases in the intervention group received multiple interventions including heath education, ketogenic diet monitoring, psychological nursing for the family, safety nursing, medicine administration, early rehabilitation, and discharge guide, etc., while the cases in the control group received normal nursing. They were followed up for 3 months. Results The seizure and trauma decreased in the intervention group compared with the control group (P< 0.05). Conclusion Multiple interventions for ketogenic diet can decrease seizure and trauma in children with intractable epilepsy
