El trasplante de células madre hematopoyéticas resulta un procedimiento muy beneficioso para el tratamiento de enfermedades hematológicas en las cuales la única posibilidad de cura es por medio de este método. Para realizar el trasplante existen varias opciones trasplante autólogo y alogénico. Existen complicaciones que han tratado de evitarse adoptando medidas que en algunas ocasiones han resultado exitosas.
