RESUMEN
Introducción:
La cirrosis constituye la etapa final de una serie de intentos regenerativos por parte del hígado para frenar los daños ocasionados por una serie de noxas como el alcohol, la hepatitis o la toxicidad ocasionada por medicamentos o sustancias existentes en el medio, por lo que contar con alternativas terapéuticas para enfrentarla es de vital importancia dada la escazas posibilidades medicamentosas existentes actualmente. Reporte Se presentan 3 casos de cirrosis hepática de diversa etiología tratados con células madre derivadas de médula ósea que ejemplifican su potencial uso para tratar esta enfermedad. Interpretación Las células madre constituyen una valiosa alternativa terapéutica para los pacientes con cirrosis hepática que puede mejorar su calidad de vida.ABSTRACT
Introduction:
Cirrhosis is the final stage in a series of attempts by regenerative liver to slow the damage caused by a series of insults such as alcohol, hepatitis or toxicity caused by drugs or substances existing in the middle, so therapeutic alternatives have to face is of vital importance given the escazas possibilities currently existing drug. Report 3 cases of liver cirrhosis of diverse etiology treated with stem cells derived from bone marrow that exemplify its potential use to treat this disease are presented.Interpretation:
Stem cells area valuable therapeutic option for patients with liver cirrhosis that can improve your quality of life.
