Resumo O presente estudo discute os possíveis impactos do Programa Bolsa Família sobre a inserção laboral de seus beneficiários no município de São Luís. Desenvolve-se o perfil dos beneficiários residentes no município em termos de sua situação no mercado de trabalho e apresentam-se os resultados da pesquisa de campo realizada com gestores locais e beneficiários e não beneficiários do programa, de modo a apreender as possíveis mudanças, em termos de inserção laboral, experimentadas pelos beneficiários.

Abstract This study discuss the possible impacts of the Bolsa Família Program on the labor insertion of its beneficiaries in the city of São Luís. It develops the profile of the beneficiaries residing in the city in terms of their situation in the labor market and presentes the results of the field research carried out with local managers and beneficiaries and non-beneficiaries of the program, in order to apprehend the possible changes, in terms of labor insertion, experienced by the beneficiaries.
