Serviço social e identidade profissional nos serviços substitutivos de saúde mental / Social service of professional identity in substitutive mental health services

RESUMO

O presente trabalho apresenta uma reflexão teórica acerca da identidade profissional do assistente social nos serviços substitutivos de saúde mental. Considera-se que a relevância do estudo reside em sua intencionalidade de ampliar este debate, ainda incipiente, no interior da profissão. A partir de uma revisão bibliográfica, foi possível identificar alguns entraves à atuação do assistente social na Saúde Mental, por vezes obscurecida por dificuldades teórico-metodológicas e avanços de correntes terapêuticas. Por fim, encontram-se assinaladas algumas potencialidades da profissão na consolidação da Reforma Psiquiátrica e na garantia de direitos dos usuários (AU).

ABSTRACT

The present work presents a theoretical reflection on the professional identity of the social worker in the mental health substitutive services. It is considered that the relevance of the study resides in its intentionality to extend this debate, still not important, at the heart of the profession. From a bibliographic review, it was possible to identify some tools for the social worker in Mental Health, sometimes obscured by theoretical and methodological difficulties and interferences from therapeutic approaches. Finally, some potentialities of the profession in the consolidation of the Psychiatric Reform and the guarantee of the rights of the users are identified (AU).
