Este estudio es descriptivo y ha sido desarrollado a partir del análisis secundario de una base de datos de lesionados por accidentes de tránsito a nivel nacional, registrados en el Sistema de Vigilancia de Lesiones de Causa Externa (SILEX), durante el período 2012 - 2015. involucra todo el territorio salvadoreño, tomando en cuenta los 14 departamentos y los 262 municipios que conforman El Salvador

This study is descriptive and has been developed from the secondary analysis of a database of injured by traffic accidents nationwide, registered in the External Cause Injury Surveillance System (SILEX), during the period 2012-2015. It involves the entire Salvadoran territory, taking into account the 14 departments and the 262 municipalities that make up El Salvador
