Los presentes Lineamientos técnicos para promotores y supervisores de salud comunitaria en las Redes Integrales e Integradas de Salud, tienen como fin el fortalecimiento del Modelo de Atención Integral en Salud con enfoque familiar y comunitario. Estos lineamientos facilitan un abordaje integral de la salud en las personas durante el curso de vida, en su entorno familiar y comunitario; esto deberá dar prioridad a la promoción de la salud y prevención del daño, sin descuidar el aspecto curativo y de rehabilitación, por ello constituyen una herramienta importante para la estandarización de las acciones que realizan los promotores de salud y que finalmente contribuyan en su efectivo desempeño laboral en favor de las personas, familias y comunidades
