Consentimiento informado en tratamientos estéticos dentales / Informed concern in aesthetic dental treatments

RESUMEN

Introducción: los principios de la bioética se resumen en autonomía del paciente, beneficencia y no maleficencia y la justicia. Estas premisas son aplicables a todas las esferas de la ciencia y la estomatología cosmética y estética no está exenta de aplicarlas a través del consentimiento informado. Objetivo: describir aspectos a considerar para la elaboración del consentimiento informado de pacientes que reciban tratamiento cosmético y/o estético dental. Métodos: se realizó una revisión bibliográfica sobre el consentimiento informado en tratamientos cosméticos dentales, donde se incluyeron artículos desde el 2004 hasta la actualidad. Se revisaron revistas de impacto relacionadas con este tema en Internet. Los términos utilizados fueron "bioética", "ética en estomatología", "aspectos legales tratamientos estéticos dentales", "estética dental consentimiento informado", "consentimiento informado odontología". Como resultado se obtuvieron 123 artículos; pero el estudio se ciñó solo a 29 artículos que enfocaron esta temática de manera más integral. Integración de la información existen varios documentos que respaldan a los pacientes en relación con sus derechos. La Declaración de Helsinki y el Código de Nüremberg, son adoptados por la Asociación Médica Mundial y toman todos los elementos éticos en la investigación biomédica. En particular se establece que nadie será sometido sin su libre consentimiento a tratamientos médicos. Consideraciones finales el consentimiento informado mejora la práctica estomatológica y protege al candidato a recibir tratamientos estéticos y cosméticos. Se aplica antes de realizar cualquier proceder; debe contener la hoja de información y el apartado de declaraciones y firmas, incluir el problema estético del individuo y su percepción, posibles soluciones, materiales, medicamentos y complicaciones(AU)

ABSTRACT

Introduction: the very beginnings of the bioethics sum up themselves in The patient's autonomy, beneficence and no maleficence, and justice. These premises are applicable to all the circles of science and the cosmetic stomatology; esthetic is not exempt to apply them through the informed consent. Objective: describe aspects to consider for the elaboration of the informed consent of patients that receive cosmetic and/ or esthetic dental treatment. Methods: a literature revision on the informed consent in cosmetic dental cosmetics treatments was done, including articles from 2004 to the present time. Impact journals related to this topic on the Internet were reviewed. The terms used were Bioethics, aspects legal, treatment cosmetic dentals, static dental, informed concern. 123 articles were found; but the study was only girded to 29 articles focused this issue more holistically. Integration of information several documents support patients regarding their rights. The World Medical Association adopted the Declaration of Helsinki and the Nüremberg Code and they contain all ethical elements in biomedical research. In particular, it states that no one shall be subjected to medical treatment without his/her free consent. Final considerations Informed consent improves dental practice and protects the candidate to receive beauty treatments and cosmetics. It is applied before any proceeding; it must contain the information sheet and declaration section and signatures, including the aesthetic problem of the individual and its perception, possible solutions, materials, medicines and complications(AU)
