ABSTRACT
The objective was to evaluate the use of micro diets in the experimental of pacu larvae Piaractus mesopotamicus through the growth and survival of animals. The larvae were fed for 28 days with diets Artemia nauplii (Ar), in fasting animals (JJ); commercial diet (CD HatchFry Encapsulon), processing by spray dried without encapsulating material (SDc); spray dried with encapsulating material (SDc), processing by ion (GI). The best average performance and survival were obtained by larvae food with Artemis. Among the experimental diets to diet was the commercial that got the best answer. In general, results showed the need of living organisms in the initial feeding of larvae of pacu, but also the possibility of introducing hatchery diets.
