ABSTRACT
Reversible acute renal failure was observed in five patients after gentamicin therapy. High doses were used in patients all aged between 50 and 83 years. The nephrotoxicity of gentamicin is poor, and may be prevented by adjusting the dosage and monitoring renal function particulary in old patients
