Role of the human rotavirus in childhood diarrhea

ABSTRACT

The human rotavirus [HRV] was detected by the enzyme-linked-immunosorbent assay [ELISA] in stool samples of 34[23%] of 150 infants and young children below three years of age hospitalized for the management of acute gastroenteritis at Al- Yarmouk Teaching Hospital, Baghdad, over a nine-month period [February through October, 1985].
