[Conservative treatment of emphysematous pyelonephritis. Case report]

ABSTRACT

We report the case of a 49-year-old diabetic patient with emphysematous pyelonephritis. Taking into consideration the patient's young age, renal failure and the absence of large parenchymatous lesions, we decided on conservative treatment consisting of percutaneous drainage and antibiotics.
