Evaluation of mean platelet volume and platelet distribution width in the diagnosis of Immune Thrombocytopenic Purpura

Objectives: Bone marrow examination is the gold standard test in discriminating between hyper destructive thrombocytopenia and hypo productive thrombocytopenia. However, this procedure is invasive.
