Serum copper levels in epilepsy

ABSTRACT

Estimation of serum copper level in forty epileptic cases together with normal controls. The effect of treatment with diphenyl-hydantoin on the serum copper level was also studied. Significant elevation of serum copper level was demonstrated in untreated cases, while low levels were also observed in cases treated with diphenyl-hydantoin. Possible underlying mechanisms were discussed
