ABSTRACT
We studied the prevalence of Helicobacter Pylori infection [H.P] on antral gastric mucosa samples in 183 patients, divided in 3 categories 50 asymptomatic controles, 75 patients with non ulcerous dyspepsia and 58 with duodenal ulcus. Our diagnosis criteria for gastric mucosal colonisation with this microorganism were a positive culture, or two positive results positive hospitalogic examination with a direct examen and/or a positive serology. The infection incidence was 62% in symptomatic controles, 52% in non ulcerous dyspepesia and 78% in duodenal ulcus. A chronic gastritis is often associated with a H.P. infection [94 to 96%]
