ABSTRACT
In light or chronic schistosoma infections, some times difficulties arise in finding the ova directly, i.e. in urine or histological examinations, therefore, an attempt was made to study the presence of ova and intensity of infection [egg count] using tissue digestion with 5% postasium hydroxide in number of randomly selected uro-gential tissue [formalin fixed] specimens. The importance of histologoical examination and its relation to finding of bilharzial ova in tissue is discussed. Various clinicopathological aspects of the work are analysed
