Some studies on helminthes parasites of fresh water fish in Egypt

ABSTRACT
The present work deals with a study on helminth parasites which infest the three common Egyptian Nile fish [Clarias lazera, Bagrus bayad and Tilapia nilotica]. Out of the 471 collected fish from various water sources in Delta area 58.60% were found to harbor one or more types of parasites. The infestation rate was highest in Clarias lazera [85.54%] followed by Bagrus bayad [72.60%] and Tilapia nilotica [34.91%]. The effect of seasonal dynamics on the infestation rate with the different types of parasites was also studied. The morphological characters of some worms were illustrated
