ABSTRACT

The determination of the LD50 of bothropic reference venom and the evaluation of the respective antivenin potency were standardized by intraperitoneal inoculation in mice. The computer program was developed for the calculations of the LD50 and the potency(ED50) by probit analysis. The final results were consistent and reproducibles.
