ABSTRACT
In conclusion, the pathophysiology of chronic Chagas hearts disease is quite complex. Recent experimental and clinical evidence supports the concept of focal ischemia which translates in focal areas of ventricular dysfuntion learding to remodelling. The fact that chronic Chagas heart disease no longer is an exotic entity in the United States undoubtely will stimulate increased awareness of this troublesome but fascinating entity
